Friend of the Friends

The Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR) Board is excited to announce an update to the Friend of the Friends Program. This program is designed to give supporters of nursing research the opportunity to become a Friend and support the mission of FNINR.

WHAT

  • A program to support the mission of NINR by becoming a “Friend of the Friends” with your donation.
  • An opportunity to honor nurse researchers, nurse leaders who support research, nurse educators who teach research, and community members who value research.

  • An opportunity to honor a retiring colleague who has dedicated their career to supporting nursing research, a recent graduate who shows promise in the field, or a team member who has been promoted due to their unwavering commitment to furthering the field of nursing research.
  • An opportunity to honor the memory of someone special who valued nurse research and the impact it had on the lives of our communities.

WHY

By becoming a “Friend of the Friends” you will help advance FNINR’s mission and the mission of science and its role in providing positive outcomes to the health care community. When you become a Friend of FNINR, you will receive:

  • A lapel pin that signifies "Friend of the Friends" that you may wear proudly in support of nursing science (pin specific to each donation level).
  • Recognition at the FNINR annual NightinGala.
  • Recognition on the FNINR website.

Begin by donating $100 to become a Friend of the Friends at the Pewter level. Each donation you make to the Friends program will accumulate to bring you up to the next level. You’ll receive a new lapel pin each time you achieve a new level. If you’ve donated previously, you’ll start at the Pewter level and receive the same Friend of the Friends benefits as before.

Please note that funds paid toward sponsorships and registration for the NightinGala do not count toward the Friends program.
